António José Monteiro Borges

António José Monteiro Borges is a Portuguese business executive who currently serves as the vice-chairman of Visabeira Global SGPS, SA. Borges has over two decades of experience in the telecommunications and engineering industries.

Borges began their career in 1996 as a technician at Visabeira Global SGPS, SA, where they worked on projects for the cable television company TV-CABO Portugal S.A. António also digitized and vectorized topographical and aerial photographs for TV-CABO, SA. In 1999, Borges left Visabeira to work as a technician at VIATEL - Tecnologia de Comunicações, S.A., where they designed cable television networks for CABOVISÃO Televisão por cabo S.A. and NOVIS. António also created Natural Gas network databases for the GDP group (Gás de Portugal), Duriensegás, and Beiragás.

In 2005, Borges began working as a designer at Vale & Filhos, Lda., where they designed kitchens furniture. António remained at Vale & Filhos until 2013 when they rejoined Visabeira Global SGPS, SA as vice-chairman.

António José Monteiro Borges graduated from ARCE - Escola Profissional de Viseu with a degree in Computer Science and Management.
