VisArts

For almost 35 years, VisArts , a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, has transformed individuals and communities through our vision of a vibrant, diverse community enriched and connected by the visual arts. We’re Montgomery County’s largest visual arts center, welcoming more than 30,000 visitors each year to our facility in Rockville Town Square. Our strength is our ability to bring people together through shared creative experiences, fostering exposure to new perspectives, mutual respect, and a truly connected community made up of people of all ages, identities, backgrounds, experiences, and abilities. In addition to classes in ceramics, glass, drawing, painting, and sculpture, we showcase vibrant contemporary art exhibitions in our galleries. Our Studio Artist Program provides artists with space and time to create. VisAbility Art Lab is our supported art studio for adult emerging artists with disabilities. A focus on workforce and interpersonal skills training empowers Lab artists to market, exhibit, and sell their art. We also offer accessible art classes to students with disabilities. VisArts partners with other nonprofits to foster connections throughout our community, including the Mattie J.T. Stepanek Foundation, Main Street Connect, Nourish Now, and Interfaith Works. We manage the annual Rockville Arts Festival, which features more than 100 fine art vendors. Visitors enjoy viewing and buying art, artist demonstrations, and performances. VisArts also hosts CREATE, free art workshops held each summer. We’re proud of our outreach programs serving seniors, homeless individuals, low-income families, children facing serious illness, and wounded veterans. We extend more than $40,000 annually in free services and discounts to those in need. We also offer event rentals - celebrate your special occasion or host company events in our picturesque venue. https://linktr.ee/VisArtsCenter
