Santosh Vetticaden, MD, PhD, MBA

Santosh Vetticaden, MD, PhD, MBA is a highly experienced professional with a diverse background in the healthcare industry. Beginning in 2008, they founded and became the President of Global Drug Development Consulting, LLC, a successful consulting firm. In 2012, they served as the Chief Medical Officer at Mast Therapeutics, Inc. before joining Insys Therapeutics, Inc. in 2015 as the Chief Medical Officer and later taking on the role of Interim CEO.

In 2016, they served as the Chief Medical Officer at Insys Therapeutics, Inc. and continued in that role until 2017, when they became the Chief Medical & Scientific Officer at Depomed, Inc. Santosh also held board positions at Amplyx Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Heluna Health, where they served as a member of the Board of Directors.

In 2018, Dr. Vetticaden co-founded Visgenx, Inc., where they served as the CEO and a member of the Board of Directors. Under their leadership, Visgenx, Inc. experienced notable growth and success. Santosh later joined NuFund Venture Group as a Board Member in 2022.

Dr. Vetticaden is also an active member of the Tech Coast Angels, a prominent angel investment organization, where they have been a member since 2014. Throughout their career, Dr. Vetticaden has demonstrated strong leadership, expertise in clinical development, and a passion for advancing healthcare solutions.

Santosh Vetticaden, MD, PhD, MBA has a diverse educational background. Santosh completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the MIT Sloan School of Management in 2015. Prior to that, they earned a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Additionally, Santosh holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Pharmacy & Pharmaceutics from Virginia Commonwealth University.
