Brian Hurley has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Brian started their career in 1993 as an R&D Manager at General Semiconductor Taiwan, where they were responsible for process improvement and cost reduction projects, as well as new product development. Brian then worked as an R&D Manager at General Semiconductor Ireland from 1997 to 2000. Hurley then served as the Foundry Manager at General Semiconductor from 2000 to 2002.
In 2003, Hurley joined Vishay as a Snr Manager / QA, where they set and monitored quality targets for in-house and subcontract product portfolios, attained and maintained ISO/TS quality management certifications, and handled customer complaints for the automotive market segment. After leaving Vishay in 2010, they joined Mesaplexx Pty LTD as the VP of Business Operations, where they turned innovative ideas into prototypes, managed a multidisciplinary team, and created scalable manufacturing options.
Hurley then moved to Nokia/Mesaplexx as the VP of Operations in 2014, following Nokia's acquisition of Mesaplexx. In this role, they seamlessly integrated an innovative team into a corporate parent and established low-cost mass production capability while transferring IP and capabilities.
In 2014, Hurley also started working at Microwave Material and Design IP as a Director, a position they currently hold. Lastly, Hurley started working at Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. in 2018, first as a QA Director and later as the Director of Operations. The exact end dates for their roles at Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. and Microwave Material and Design IP are not provided.
Brian Hurley earned their M.Sc in Applied Physics from Dublin City University, where they studied from 1986 to 1991.
