Steve Rose is an experienced professional in the field of speech and language therapy, specializing in deafblindness, sensory impairments, and related complex needs. Currently, Steve serves as a Project Officer for Deafblind Information Australia and a Paediatric Speech Pathologist with Vision Australia, while also running Steve Rose Therapy & Consultancy, providing independent services since April 2017. Previously, Steve held the position of Principal Speech and Language Therapist at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust, where responsibilities included coordinating a clinical team and maintaining a caseload for children with developmental epilepsy. With a background that spans over two decades, including leadership roles at Sense and expertise developed through various clinical and educational positions, Steve possesses extensive knowledge in assessment, therapy, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Academic qualifications include a Master’s in Special Education focused on Multi-Sensory Impairment from The University of Birmingham, and a BSc in Speech Sciences from UCL.
