John Catford

John Catford is an experienced financial executive currently serving as the Independent Chair of the Audit and Risk Management Committee at the Crime and Corruption Commission (Queensland) since August 2024 and as Chief Financial Officer & Company Secretary at Vision Christian Media since June 2022. Previously, John held several key positions, including Independent member of the Audit & Risk Management Committee for the Queensland Department of Education, Non Executive Director at the Institute of Internal Auditors - Australia, and Head of Group Internal Audit at Rio Tinto. John’s extensive experience in financial management includes roles as Chief Financial Officer across various divisions of Rio Tinto and as Accounting Manager at Queensland Alumina Limited and Comalco Aluminium Limited. John holds a Bachelor's degree in Business (Accounting) from CQUniversity, is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and is a Chartered Accountant. Additionally, John has completed further education at Harvard Business School Online and holds a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration from Heriot-Watt University.
