Sofia Gralha

Sofia Gralha has a diverse work experience with a range of roles in the design field. Sofia has worked as a Lead Packaging Designer at Vision Healthcare NV since 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Communication Designer from 2018 to 2023, where they created visual identities and developed content for multiple channels. Sofia also worked as a Teacher & Graphic Designer at Ensiguarda - Escola Profissional da Guarda from 2018 to 2023, where they developed educational materials and mentored students. Additionally, they worked as a Visual Designer at BBox Sports in 2018, where they designed brand identities and collaborated with the internal design team. Sofia has experience as a Graphic Designer & Sales Operator at Dysfunctional Shoes in 2018, where they directed photography shoots and managed product photography. Sofia also has experience at Plataforma, where they worked as a Graphic Designer, Lead Designer, and Communication Designer from 2012 to 2016. At Plataforma, they led a wide range of design projects, collaborated with interdisciplinary teams, and developed visual identities and branding strategies. Sofia began their career as a Product Designer at Menina Design Group in 2012.

Sofia Gralha completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia at Instituto Politécnico de Coimbra - Escola Superior de Educação from 2009 to 2012. Sofia then pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Communication Design & New Media at Faculdade de Belas-Artes da Universidade de Lisboa from 2015 to 2018. Additionally, Sofia participated in an Erasmus-Exchange Program in Communication and Media Studies at the University of Portsmouth in 2011-2012 and completed a Full Program in Ceramic Arts and Ceramics at Ar.Co - Art School in 2016-2017. Sofia holds various additional certifications, including courses in character creation, botanical patterns, naming, design thinking, media production, digital marketing strategy, teaching skills, and photography.
