Jad Farah has extensive work experience in the field of medical physics. Jad began their career as a PhD candidate at IRSN, where they worked on optimizing in vivo monitoring of female workers with internal contamination risks. Jad also improved the calibration of whole body germanium detectors and developed a methodology for managing complex and old internal contaminations.
Following their PhD, Farah worked as a medical physics resident in the Radiation Oncology Department at Pitié Salpétrière University Hospital. Their main duties included conducting complex treatment planning for stereotactic radiosurgery and IMRT plans, performing daily dosimetric checks of patient plans, and completing regulatory quality assurance of various treatment units.
Farah then joined IRSN as a research medical physicist, focusing on external dosimetry. In this role, they contributed to external dosimetry research projects.
After their time at IRSN, Farah moved to Greater Paris University Hospitals - AP-HP as a lead medical physicist in the Imaging Department. Jad played a senior role in managing imaging equipment and was part of the European Center of Reference for Hepatic and Pulmonary diseases.
Most recently, Farah has been working at Vision RT Ltd as a regional sales manager, responsible for sales and key accounts management in France, Italy, Spain, and Portugal. Jad has held several roles within the company, including strategic commercial clinical application specialist for EMEA/APAC and clinical application specialist for France/EMEA.
Overall, Jad Farah has a diverse background in medical physics, with experience in research, clinical settings, and sales.
Jad Farah's education history begins with their Ph.D. in Medical Physics from Paris-Sud University (Paris XI), which they obtained from 2008 to 2011. Jad then pursued further specialization in the field by completing the Medical Physics board certification at INSTN from 2011 to 2012. Following these achievements, Jad Farah pursued executive education at HEC Paris, where they participated in the PROGRAMME COURT EXECUTIVE CHOISIR LA BONNE STRATÉGIE ET LES BONS ARGUMENTS POUR NÉGOCIER, starting in 2021. Currently, they are involved in the Blue Ocean Strategy programme at INSEAD, with an anticipated completion year of 2023.
