Greg Word is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in economic development and consulting. Currently serving as Managing Director and Senior Consultant at VisionFirst Advisors LLC since September 2018, Word previously held the position of Senior Vice President of Economic Development at Greater Jackson Chamber Partnership/Greater Jackson Alliance from July 2015 to August 2018. Earlier roles include Bureau Manager of Business Intelligence & Support and Bureau Manager of Technology and Research at the Mississippi Development Authority from February 2013 to June 2015. Word also served as Manager of Technical / Graphic Services at NMIDA from November 2007 to January 2013, focusing on mapping databases and economic development functions. Beginning a career as a Graphic Designer / Illustrator at Mississippi State University from November 2002 to October 2007, Word holds a degree from Mississippi State University, obtained in 2002.
