David Thoresen

David Thoresen has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. David currently holds the position of Senior Director of Operations at visionSynergy, starting in 2022.

Prior to this, David worked at Tetakawi (formerly The Offshore Group) for over 20 years. Their roles at Tetakawi included Finance Manager, Sr. Business Analyst, Costing & Pricing Analyst, Assistant to the Director of Quality, and Sr. Financial Analyst. In these positions, they were responsible for financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting, cost containment, and process improvement initiatives.

David also served as an Outreach Pastor at Pantano from 2006 to 2019. In this role, they were responsible for global and community outreach strategy, partnership establishment, and managing a large ministry budget.

In addition, they worked at Unite 4 Africa as General Secretary from 2007 to 2011, and at Omnium Worldwide as International Operations Manager and International Manager for the Tucson Multilingual Center from 1996 to 2001. At Omnium, they were involved in expanding the company's services to the Brazilian market, managing operations, building infrastructure, and serving as a liaison between local managers and corporate headquarters.

Earlier in their career, David held positions at First Colonial Bankshares Corporation, including AVP/Manager of Correspondent Banking, Operations Officer in the Trust Subsidiary, Financial Analyst in the Mortgage Subsidiary, and Management Trainee in the Holding Company. In these roles, they managed correspondent banking activities, enhanced operational efficiency, monitored mortgage loan portfolios, and gained industry knowledge through diverse experiences.

Overall, David Thoresen has demonstrated expertise in operations, finance, analysis, and leadership across different organizations and sectors throughout their career.

David Thoresen obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Spanish from DePauw University between 1987 and 1991. In 1990, they also earned a certificate in Spanish from Universidad de Valladolid. Later on, from 1995 to 1996, David attended Thunderbird School of Global Management where they pursued a Master's in International Management.
