James Robinson

James Robinson has a solid work experience in the hotel and convention industry. James is currently working as the Convention Sales Director in the Southern Region at Visit Anaheim since November 2022. Prior to that, they served as the National Sales Director at Long Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau from November 2016 to November 2022, where they focused on educating clients in Southern California and Southwestern United States about turnkey special event spaces and highlighting the benefits of urban waterfront playgrounds. Additionally, they worked as the Director of Group Sales at The Westin Long Beach from May 2015 to November 2016, and as a Sales Manager at the Sheraton Park Hotel at the Anaheim Resort from May 2013 to May 2015. Furthermore, James has a diverse background at The Westin Long Beach, where they held multiple roles including Sales Manager from August 2010 to May 2013, Catering & Convention Services Coordinator from April 2008 to August 2010, Front Office Supervisor from August 2007 to April 2008, and Front Desk Agent from January 2007 to August 2007.

James Robinson attended Central Washington University from 2003 to 2007, where they pursued a field of study in Kinesiology and Exercise Science. During their time at the university, they did not obtain a specific degree. In October 2020, James Robinson also obtained a certification in Digital Event Strategist from PCMA.
