Julie Rice has over 30 years of work experience in the hospitality and convention sales industry. Julie is currently serving as the Director of Convention Sales for the Northeast Region at Visit Anaheim. Prior to this role, they held various positions at Visit Anaheim, including Convention Sales Director for the Eastern Region and Meeting Sales Manager for the Eastern Region.

Before joining Visit Anaheim, Julie worked as a Regional Sales Manager at Skytop Lodge and Revel Entertainment Group, LLC. Julie also served as a Sales Manager at Revel Entertainment Group, LLC. and Caesars Entertainment Corporation.

Earlier in their career, Julie worked as a National Sales Manager at the Pennsylvania Convention Center Authority and as a Hotels Sales Marketing Manager at Borgata/The Water Club. Julie also gained experience as an Account Manager at Vista Convention Services and as a Sales Manager at Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino.

Julie has acquired several certifications throughout their career, including CMP, HMCC, PCA, and CTA.

Julie Rice obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Rhetoric and Communication from Kent State University, where they studied from 1983 to 1990. Julie has several additional certifications, including the Pandemic Compliance Advisor from Health Education Services, which they obtained in December 2021. In June 2020, they obtained a Hospitality and Tourism Management Certification from Florida Atlantic University. Julie also completed the Krakoff Leadership Institute, offered by the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE), in August 2018. Julie achieved the Certified Tourism Ambassador designation in September 2016 and holds certifications such as the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) from the Events Industry Council, obtained in July 2010. Julie acquired various healthcare-related certifications, including the Healthcare Meeting Compliance Certification from Meeting Professionals International, obtained in June 2020 and June 2018, and the Healthcare Meeting Compliance Certificate in June 2016. Additionally, they achieved the Cvent Supplier Network from Cvent certification in May 2020.
