Ryan Becker

Ryan Becker has over 15 years of work experience in the communication industry. Ryan started their career as the Assistant Managing Editor at The Record in 2002, where they worked until 2007. From 2007 to 2012, Ryan served as the Presentation Director/News at The Sacramento Bee. In 2012, they joined Visit California as a Communications Manager, and later became the Vice President of Communications in 2014. In this role, Ryan is responsible for developing communication strategies to promote the California brand.

Ryan Becker earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, which they attended from 1997 to 2000. Ryan is currently pursuing an Executive MBA at California State University-Sacramento, which they started in 2021 and is expected to complete in 2023.
