Heather Johnston

Heather Johnston is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in marketing and management within the hospitality and tourism sectors. Currently serving as the Executive Director at Visit Dana Point since February 2023, Heather previously held the position of Manager of Hospitality Marketing at Mammoth Mountain, where responsibilities included brand management for six diverse lodging properties. With a strong background in overseeing operations at various visitor bureaus and chambers of commerce, Heather has successfully founded several organizations and directed marketing strategies for high-profile companies, including the Walt Disney Company. Heather holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from California State University, Fresno, complemented by an AA from Cabrillo College.
