Cathy McVey

Cathy McVey has a range of experience in content creation and management. Cathy started their career as an Editorial Assistant at MetroKids from 1998 to 2000. In 2000, they joined Visit Philadelphia as a Writer & Editor, responsible for writing, editing, fact-checking, and proofreading press materials, corporate communications, and consumer collateral. Cathy also oversaw the production of works by freelance writers. In 2010, Cathy became the Editorial Director at Visit Philadelphia, overseeing a team of writers, photographers, fact checkers, and proofreaders. In this role, they ensured that the company's press materials and communications were filled with compelling copy and vivid imagery. Cathy recently became the Vice President of Content at Visit Philadelphia in 2020.

Cathy McVey holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in English and Publishing from Rosemont College, which they obtained from 1999 to 2004. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English from Temple University, where they studied from 1992 to 1996.
