Kurt Prister

Kurt Prister is an experienced economic development advocate with a career spanning several decades, primarily at Finger Lakes Region Development since 1982. Kurt has contributed significantly to various economic development initiatives, including publishing the Industrial Directory of Rochester and participating in the Finger Lakes Region Economic Development Council. As a business mentor, Kurt has advised teams at the University of Rochester and engaged with multiple organizations to bolster community partnerships. In addition to a robust professional background in economic development, Kurt serves as an ambassador for VisitRochester and holds leadership roles in various community organizations, emphasizing diversity, inclusion, and youth ministry. Educational credentials include an MBA in Marketing and Finance from The University of Chicago and a BA in Economics from the University of Virginia, complemented by specialized training in Six Sigma and Leadership.
