Kristin Gillespie has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Kristin started their career as a Marketing & Communications Contractor at Northwest Marine Trade Association in 2006. Kristin then joined Pottery Barn as a Department Coordinator from 2005 to 2007. In 2007, they became a Circulation Account Manager at USA TODAY, where they gained skills in client services, account management, sales, project management, and marketing strategy. From 2009 to 2012, Kristin worked as an Audience Development Representative at Puget Sound Business Journal, responsible for organizing subscription-generating events and networking opportunities. Kristin joined Visit Seattle in 2012 and held several positions, including Senior Marketing Coordinator, Marketing Manager, and Director of Content Strategy. In their most recent role at Visit Seattle, they served as the Director of Marketing, responsible for maximizing the reach and impact of the organization's content and communication channels.
Kristin Gillespie completed their undergraduate education from 2001 to 2005 at Boston University, receiving a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications and English. In 2016, they obtained a certificate in Social Media Technologies and Implementation from the University of Washington.
