Angie Howell

VP, Easterseals Nebraska at VISITING NURSE ASSOCIATION OF THE MIDLANDS

She manages a team of lead staff who direct the daily provision of services that are funded by a variety of state, federal and private initiatives. She also serves as project director for the state and federal funding received and monitors awards for compliance.

Angie’s previous work experience includes sales and management in the staffing industry, matching job seeker talents with Nebraska employer needs, and supporting individuals with barriers to employment while employed with the Nebraska Department of Labor. She has previous direct-service and managerial experience delivering a myriad of youth programming, foster care and family reunification services, particularly programs intertwined with the juvenile justice system. Since joining Easterseals in 2002, she has been trained as a Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) counselor and in Windmills disability awareness, achieved national certification in benefits planning and work incentives counseling, and has been certified in RentWise tenant literacy.

Angie actively serves on the Nebraska Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) advisory board and the National Employment Network Association (NENA) board of directors. She is a member of the National Employment Network Association, the National Association of Benefits and Work Incentive Specialists (NABWIS) and the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals (NAWDP).

She, her husband, Carl, and their daughter, Alexandra, reside on a farm in rural southeast Nebraska and enjoy traveling, spending time with family, attending sporting events, swimming, hunting and fishing.

Angie graduated cum laude from Bellevue University with BA degrees in Psychology and Sociology, with minor specialization in Business Administration and Women’s Studies.
