Laura Prough

As Director of Operations, Laura’s primary responsibility is the execution of all operational and quality functions of the Community Care Division. These functions include all policy and procedural facets, staff development, and acting as a liaison with State and Regional contract holders. Additionally, Laura ensures the delivery of excellent case management services, contract compliance, and quality outcomes for Georgia’s two Aged, Blind and Disabled Medicaid Waivers and two Older Americans Act-funded county programs.

Prior to joining Visiting Nurse in 2010, Laura was the State Director of Georgia’s Aging and Disability Resource Connection. She had the responsibility of statewide program design, policy development and implementation, data collection, quality assurance, contract management, and ongoing expansion of the ADRC.

Laura has been dedicated to serving individuals and their families in community settings for over 30 years. Upon completion of her Bachelor of Science in Education from Brenau University, she attended graduate school at Georgia State University.
