Mary Galloway has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Mary started working as a Medical Technologist at the University of Chicago Hospitals in 1989, where they performed various manual tests and later moved to chemistry, toxicology, and special chemistry labs. In 1996, they joined Wuesthoff Health Systems as a Medical Technologist for a year before becoming an Instructor at Eastern Florida State College, where they taught a range of medical and computer classes and served as the Clinical Coordinator for student clinical laboratory rotations. In 1999, Mary joined The Bionetics Corp. as a Medical Technologist and Lab Supervisor, where they performed clinical laboratory testing and supported research projects. Mary worked at Google in a research role from 2011 to 2012. In 2012, they joined Visiun, Inc. as a Senior Program Manager, providing technical support, training, implementation, and installation of laboratory analytical software tool, and contributing to software testing and report development.
Mary Galloway has a diverse education history. Mary obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services from Florida Institute of Technology from 2004 to 2008. Prior to that, they pursued Graduate Student at Large studies in Molecular Genetics and Cellular Biology at the University of Chicago from 1990 to 1992. From 1987 to 1989, Mary earned a Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science (BSMT) from the University of Illinois Chicago. Mary also briefly attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1985 to 1986, focusing on Biology. Mary's educational journey started at Homewood-Flossmoor High School, where they completed high school from 1980 to 1983.
In addition to their formal education, Mary Galloway obtained a certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) in June 1989.
