Kathleen Wahlbin

Kathleen Wahlbin has extensive experience in the field of accessibility and assistive technology. Kathleen currently works as the SVP Corporate Strategy at Vispero, a leading provider of assistive technology for visually impaired individuals. Kathleen previously held the position of VP Enterprise Accessibility and General Manager of The Paciello Group & Interactive Accessibility at Vispero, where they developed innovative solutions for blind and low vision individuals.

Kathleen has also been involved in various roles at the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), including serving as an Invited Expert and Facilitator for the Mobile Accessibility Task Force. In this role, they worked on developing guidance and techniques for mobile accessibility related to WCAG and UAAG.

Additionally, Kathleen served as the Chair of the Individual Professional Development Committee at the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP). Kathleen played a key role in developing activities, including a certification program, to promote and improve the accessibility profession globally.

Before joining Vispero and W3C, Kathleen was the CEO and Founder of Interactive Accessibility, where they provided strategic consulting on accessibility compliance to organizations. Kathleen also worked as a Senior Vice President at Jones Public Affairs and Virilion, where they led digital marketing strategies and managed client relationships.

Prior to their roles in marketing and accessibility consulting, Kathleen worked as a Principal at RampWEB, a company they founded to deliver accessibility standards to public sector and Fortune 500 clients. Kathleen also served as a Senior Knowledge Engineer at Brightware and as a Consultant at the Royal Bank of Canada.
