Ray Akl

Ray Akl is a Program Manager and has previously served as an elected member of Vista’s Board of Directors and Senior Management Team. For the better part of a decade, he managed a series of large-scale greenfield expansion projects for a long-term client in the heavy oil sector.

Ray joined Vista in 2004 as a Civil Engineering Team Lead before moving into a project management role, where he also acts as a key liaison between engineering disciplines and the client’s construction-management teams. During his tenure with Vista’s integrated engineering services team, he has developed progressive technical and managerial experience.

In 2011, Ray was selected as one of Oilweek’s Rising Stars, an award program administered by JWN Energy that recognizes the brightest and best up-and-comers in the Canadian oil and gas industry.

Ray graduated in Civil Engineering from the University of Alberta in 2000 and is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).
