Benjamin Gallo

Benjamin Gallo is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in fish biology and microbiota research. Currently serving as an Associate Scientist at Visterra Inc. since August 2021, Benjamin previously held key positions at T2 Biosystems, including Research Associate II and Research Associate. Benjamin's foundational experience includes a role as a Graduate Research Assistant at the State University of New York College of Environmental Sciences and Forestry, where methods were developed for sampling fish gut microbiota, and influences on gut microbiota development were examined. Additional roles include Field Technician at Sea Grant and Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of New Hampshire, where research focused on cyanobacteria ecology. Benjamin holds a Master's degree in Fish & Wildlife Biology and Management and a Bachelor's degree in Marine, Estuarine, & Freshwater Biology from the respective universities.
