Abu Moavu

Abu Moavu has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Starting in 2006, they worked as a Commercial Department Intern at SONARA. In 2007, they moved to DIAGEO Guinness Cameroun as a Customer Marketing Assistant. From 2008 to 2009, they worked as a Commercial Development Manager at SI GlobalTel. In 2010, they had roles as a Strategy Consultant at Dell and a Project Management Intern at OrthoAccel Technologies, Inc. Abu then joined TXU Energy in 2011 as a Specialist I, Credit & Operations Analytics. From 2013 to 2016, they worked at Energy Future Holdings as a Credit Risk Manager, Operations, Rptg. & Analytics. Since then, Moavu has been with Vistra Corp., starting as a Director PL & Risk Analytics before moving up to Sr. Director Modeling & Valuation, Vice President of Risk Management, Modeling & Valuation, and currently serving as the VP & Chief Risk Officer.

Abu Moavu earned an MBA in Supply Chain Management from Texas A&M University during the years 2009 to 2011. Before that, they completed a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and Strategy, specializing in Commerce and Distribution, at the Catholic University of Central Africa from 2004 to 2007. Abu Moavu also holds additional certifications, including the Black Executive Leadership Program from McKinsey & Company and is currently a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level II Candidate.
