Michael Segura

Michael Segura has a diverse work experience spanning across various companies and roles. Michael is currently the Director of Technology Services and Enterprise Architecture at Vistra Corp., where they lead a team of Enterprise Architects and focuses on technology strategy and program execution. Prior to this role, Michael worked as a Principal Architect of Enterprise Architecture at Vistra Corp. from 2016 to 2021. Before joining Vistra Corp., they held positions such as Director of Architecture and Innovation at TXU Energy and Managing Architect III at TXU Energy. Michael also has experience as a Software Development Consultant at HCL AXON and as the President of Neogevity, Inc. Their early career includes roles as a Software Development Consultant at Pariveda Solutions, Software Consultant (.NET) at Countrywide Home Loans, Software Developer (Java) at Alliance Data and Exolink Corporation, and Lead Software Engineer at Sterling Commerce. Michael began their career as an IT Specialist II at Entergy.

Michael Segura completed their education in the following institutions: from 1991 to 1994, they attended the United States Naval Academy, majoring in Computer Science; from 1994 to 1996, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Lamar University; and in 2001 to 2002, they studied Software Engineering at Southern Methodist University. In terms of certifications, Michael obtained the Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) from Scrum.org in April 2019, The Open Group Certified: TOGAF® 9 Certified from The Open Group in 2016, and the Certified SAFe® 5 Program Consultant from Scaled Agile, Inc. in August 2020.
