Laila Worrell

Laila Worrell joined the Vistra board in July, 2022 as a Non-Executive Director. She brings a strong track record of leadership experience in large-scale, international businesses as well as experience in private equity portfolio operations.

Laila serves on the boards of NYSE-traded Moelis and Harvard Business Review Global. Previously, she served as COO and deputy CEO of KKR-owned Aricent and after leading a two-year transformation of the company, she was instrumental in its $2.1B sale to publicly traded Altran Technologies, creating the largest digital design and engineering company in the world. She was then appointed CEO of Altran’s 14,000-person Americas business and joined Capgemini with its $5.5B acquisition of Altran. She has also served as a senior advisor for Caisse de Depot et Placement de Quebec (CDPQ), one of the largest institutional investors in the world. She originated its digital services thesis and first controlling investment in the sector.

Earlier in her career, Laila served in significant leadership roles at both Boston Consulting Group and Accenture. At BCG, Laila was a lead Managing Director and Partner in the Principal Investing and Private Equity practice where, before joining at the request of the board, she worked with Aricent leadership to transform the company and prepare its successful exit. Over her seventeen-year tenure at Accenture, Laila led its $2.1B New York Metro region and led growth and strategy for its $13B North America geography.

Laila has previously served on the boards of USI, Wizeline and ICR (CDPQ and KKR, Apax, Investcorp, respectively). She has been a longstanding member of the Advisory Board of the American Museum of Natural History and the Board of Directors of the Harvard Business School Club of New York. She was awarded a prestigious David Rockefeller Fellowship by the Partnership for New York City, and among other distinctions, she has been named one of the best performing CEOs in technology services one of the world’s most influential business leaders by the Wall Street Journal.

She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from the University of Texas at Austin.
