Nilesh Patel

Nilesh Patel, CISSP, currently serves as the Director of Security Engineering at VISTRA, a position held since July 2024. Prior to VISTRA, Nilesh was a Staff Security Engineering Leader at Reddit, Inc. from December 2021 to June 2024, and before that, Nilesh worked as a Security Engineering Leader at MassMutual from December 2015 to December 2021. Nilesh's career began at Calsoft as a Software Developer Intern, followed by a tenure at IBM as a Senior Staff Software Engineer and later as a Security Solutions Architect at Prolifics. Nilesh earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology from the Pune Institute of Computer Technology (2002-2006) and completed early education at Guruvarya Sabanis Vidya Mandir (1995-2000).
