Jonathan Samuels

Jonathan Samuels has a diverse range of work experience, starting in 1994 as a Program Director at the McGaw YMCA. From 1999 to 2007, they worked for the Office of Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky, serving as Deputy Chief of Staff, Communications Director, and Legislative Director. In 2007, they joined the Office of The Majority Whip, Congressman James Clyburn, as Deputy Floor Director and Senior Advisor. In 2008, Samuels worked as the Southern Regional Director for Obama for America and later as Personnel Director for Congressional Affairs at the Obama-Biden Transition Project-Presidential Transition Team. From 2009 to 2014, they worked at The White House in various roles, including Special Assistant to the President for Legislative Affairs and Deputy Assistant to the President for Legislative Affairs. Currently, Samuels is a Partner at The Vistria Group, where they serve as Co-Head of Vistria PRG and Partner.

Jonathan Samuels attended Evanston Township High School from 1988 to 1992. After completing high school, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Law and Society at Michigan State University from 1992 to 1997.
