Aditi Bhatnagar has been working in the engineering field since 2011. Aditi began their career as an Intern at the Center for Composite Materials, where they manufactured plain weave composite panels using wet layup and VARTM techniques, as well as dimensional characterization of Kevlar, Glass, and Carbon fibers. In 2012, they joined Detroit Engineered Products as a CAE Optimization Engineer (Onsite General Motors), where they had experience in full vehicle crash model setup for USNCAP and IIHS using Primer, as well as understanding of FMVSS, IIHS, and European safety regulations and performance targets. Aditi also performed CAE simulations to evaluate full vehicle crashworthiness for Frontal, Offset, Side, and Rear load cases. In 2019, Aditi joined Visual Collaboration Technologies as an Application Engineer, and also rejoined Detroit Engineered Products as a Product Development Engineer (Onsite Areclor Mittal Tailored Blanks). In this role, they performed crashworthiness for future OEM vehicles and gauge optimization studies to lightweight laser welded steel blanks in the vehicle. Aditi also supported development of steel solutions based on Laser Welded Blanks by analyzing CAE results using advanced FEA softwares such as LSDYNA/NASTRAN, as well as laser welded steel blank nestings, drawings, and report generation for different OEMs using AUTOFORM/AUTOCAD.
Aditi Bhatnagar holds a Master's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Californa State University, Longbeach, which they obtained between 2008 and 2012.
