Herman Fok has extensive experience in the field of user interface (UI) design and graphic design. Herman is currently serving as the Head of UI at Visual Concepts since March 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of UI Art Director at 2K Sports from March 2013. Before joining 2K Sports, Herman worked as a Senior Artist at Crystal Dynamics from July 2012 to March 2013. Herman also has a rich history with 2K Sports, where they served as Lead UI Artist from August 2010 to July 2012 and as a Conceptual UI and Motion Designer from August 2006 to August 2010. Herman also gained experience as a UI Support Artist at 2K Marin from January 2012 to June 2012. Before entering the gaming industry, they started their career as a QA Tester at Konami Entertainment of America from March 1997 to September 1998.
Herman Fok pursued their education in a disciplined manner, starting with their Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design and Multimedia from California State University of Hayward. Herman enrolled in this program from 2002 to 2004, focusing on developing skills in graphic design and multimedia. After completing their undergraduate degree, they sought further specialization in the field of 3D Animation and Modeling. To achieve this, they attended De Anza College from 2005 to 2006 and obtained a certification in 3D Animation and Modeling. Herman's educational journey encompassed these two institutions, where they honed their expertise in graphic design, multimedia, and 3D animation.
