Visually Impaired Preschool Services (VIPS) provides educational excellence to young children with visual impairments in order to build a strong foundation for reaching their highest potential.

We have office locations in Louisville & Lexington, Kentucky along with an office in Indianapolis, Indiana. VIPS provides in-home, vision specific, early intervention across Indiana (birth to three) and Kentucky (birth to five) to children who are blind or visually impaired. We also serve in the state-of-the-art Kids Town Preschool located in Louisville and have a two-year old's group in the Lexington location. The Indianapolis office just completed our capital campaign to build a Family Resource Center where we engage with families in events and other programming.

VIPS is the only nonprofit agency in Indiana and Kentucky providing these services to this extremely under-served population.

The Vision and Mobility Education team at Visually Impaired Preschool Services (VIPS) focuses on developing tailored educational programs and mobility strategies for young children with visual impairments. This team of specialists, including Teachers of the Visually Impaired, Developmental Interventionists, Orientation and Mobility Specialists, and Instructional Assistants, work collaboratively to provide in-home and in-preschool instruction designed to enhance the children's independence, cognitive development, and spatial orientation skills. By doing so, they help build a strong foundation for the children to reach their highest potential in various aspects of life.
