Girish Karkhanis

Girish Karkhanis has extensive work experience spanning over several decades. Girish began their career in 1980 with various assignments at companies such as Shell Oil, Alpha Sim, Bechtel-TVA, SGS-OGC, and Viswa Lab. During this time, they worked on numerous projects and provided consulting services for areas such as administration, IT, and construction. Girish was responsible for managing stakeholders, sponsors, vendors, and consumers, resulting in improved efficiency and business expansion. Girish also conducted project scope analysis, process development, data research, and work flow improvements. Additionally, they trained teams and developed customized materials to align tasks and ensure successful project completion. In 2017, Girish joined Viswa Lab as the Director of Corporate Administration, Human Resource, and Strategy.

Girish Karkhanis has a diverse education history. Girish has completed a Data Science Specialization program from Johns Hopkins University, Bloomberg School through Coursera. Girish also obtained various certifications related to data science from Coursera, including courses in Developing Data Products, Exploratory Data Analysis, Practical Machine Learning, Regression Models, Reproducible Research, Getting and Cleaning Data, R Programming, Statistical Inference, and The Data Scientist's Toolbox. Furthermore, Girish holds an E-Commerce Certification from the University of Houston, C.T. Bauer College of Business. Girish also pursued an MBA with a focus on Marketing, Finance, and International Trade from the University of St. Thomas (TX). Girish's undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry, which they obtained from the University of Houston. Additionally, they hold a Texas Notary Public certification from the State of Texas.
