Charles van Es has a diverse work experience in the beverage industry. Charles started their career at Heineken in 2003, taking on various roles related to supply chain planning and logistics. Charles then joined Heineken USA in 2007, where they worked as the Manager of Supply Chain Planning and later as the Director of Corporate Strategy. In 2010, they became the Brand Director for Newcastle Brown Ale, where they successfully repositioned the brand and introduced line extensions. In 2013, they were promoted to Senior Director of Portfolio Brands, overseeing marketing strategies for multiple brands. In 2015, Charles joined Vita Coco as the VP of Marketing Americas, and later served as the EVP of Strategy and Chief Sales Officer.
Charles van Es completed their Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering at Delft University of Technology from 1995 to 2003. Charles then pursued their MBA at Columbia Business School from 2009 to 2010.
