Markus Westerkamp

Markus Westerkamp is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in operations and management within the paper and energy sectors. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer at The Vita Group since March 2024, Markus has held multiple senior roles at Ahlstrom-Munksjö from January 2016 to February 2024, including Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President for Advanced Solutions. Previous positions at Ahlstrom included Vice President roles in various departments, Managing Director at Ahlstrom Germany GmbH, and leadership roles at AK Energie and Ahlstrom Osnabrück GmbH. Markus holds a Diplom-Ingenieurin (Dipl.Ing.) degree in Verfahrenstechnik from FH München and completed an apprenticeship at Cordier Spezialpapier.
