Lakeisha Pointer

Lakeisha Pointer has a diverse work experience spanning several roles in the healthcare and senior living industries. Lakeisha began their career in 1998 at Woodbine Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center as a Certified Nursing / Activity Assistant, where they worked until 2012. In 2000, they joined Envoy Rehab and Nursing Center as a Recreational Director and Volunteer Coordinator, remaining there until 2010.

In 2010, Lakeisha moved to Sunrise Senior Living, initially working as an Activity and Volunteer Coordinator from 2013 to 2015, then transitioning to the role of Life Enrichment Manager until 2013.

Lakeisha then took on the position of Activity Director at Westgate Hills Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in 2016, followed by a similar role at Oakwood Care Center from 2016 to 2019. In 2018, Lakeisha joined Vita Healthcare Group as the Director of Therapeutic Recreational Services, a position they still hold.

Most recently, in 2022, they began working at Peak Healthcare, LLC as an Activity Professional. Alongside their professional roles, Lakeisha also owns their own small business, Cocoa Creations Event Planning.

Lakeisha Pointer has a diverse education history. Lakeisha began their educational journey in 2012 at Radians College, where they pursued a degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse. Lakeisha successfully completed their associate degree in nursing in 2015.

In 2018, Lakeisha attended Ashworth College and obtained a Event Planning Certificate, focusing on Meeting and Event Planning. This program lasted until 2019.

More recently, from 2021 to 2023, Lakeisha studied at DeVry University. Lakeisha pursued a degree in Business Administration and Management, General, and is expected to complete their studies in 2023.

In addition to their academic pursuits, Lakeisha has obtained a couple of certifications. In November 2021, they received certification from the NATIONAL CERTIFICATION COUNCIL FOR ACTIVITY PROFESSIONALS. Furthermore, in April 2022, Lakeisha obtained an American Red Cross CPR, First Aide, and AED certification from The Postgraduate Institute for Medicine.
