Morvarid Farhang

Morvarid Farhang, PhD, is a Scientist III at Vital Bio since March 2023, leading the development and optimization of immunoassay procedures for cardiac and anemia marker detection. Previously, Morvarid served as a Senior Scientist at ANGLE Biosciences Inc, contributing to liquid biopsy innovations and nucleic acid biology, following an Associate Scientist role focused on assay development. Prior experience includes research at the University of Toronto and CellScale Biomaterial Testing, where Morvarid co-developed a high-throughput Organ-On-A-Chip system, as well as a Senior Postdoctoral Fellow position studying drug metabolism in partnership with a mechanical engineer. Early career experience features a Postdoctoral Researcher role at VIB-UGent, where Morvarid investigated the role of A20 in disease models, complemented by a PhD in Biotechnology and earlier degrees in Human Genetics and Microbiology.
