Joel Shapira

Joel Shapira is an experienced leader in the aging and technology sectors, currently serving as Strategic Initiatives Lead at the American Society on Aging, where responsibilities include developing partnerships for the On Aging Institute and coordinating events such as On Aging'25 OnTech Summit. As Founder and Chief Orchestrator of BeyondAge, Joel facilitates collaboration among for-profits, non-profits, and governments to innovate tech-enabled solutions for older adults. Joel's roles also include CEO of AgeTech Chicago, Advisory Board Lead at Perfect Pair 501(c)(3) Nonprofit, and various advisory positions, including at Vital Neuro, Wowzitude, and ActiveAging.ai. With a strong educational background, including degrees from Northwestern University and DePaul University, Joel combines expertise in communication and leadership to advance initiatives aimed at enhancing the lives of older adults.
