Clarissa S. has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as an Americorps Tutor at Leon READS from September 2006 to May 2007. Clarissa then worked at Albertsons, LLC as an Assistant Deli Manager from January 2004 to August 2007, where they performed various managerial responsibilities and even acted as a manager for nine months.

Most recently, Clarissa has been associated with Vitalant since October 2007. Clarissa initially worked as a Donor Care Specialist I & II, conducting donor interviews, performing phlebotomy, and maintaining blood donor records according to standard operating procedures. Clarissa also carried out Apheresis Red Cell Collection and/or Plasma Pheresis for blood donors. Clarissa then progressed to the position of Donor Care Specialist III in March 2013, where they continued with their previous responsibilities. Finally, in May 2018, Clarissa became a Donor Care Training Instructor at Vitalant, contributing their expertise to train and educate others in the field.

Clarissa S. has a diverse education history in the field of Health Services and Administration. Clarissa obtained a Master of Administration degree with a focus on Health Services/Allied Health/Health Sciences from Northern Arizona University, graduating between the years 2014 and 2018. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor's degree in Health Services Administration at Keiser University from 2007 to 2009. In addition, they earned an Associate's degree in Health Services Administration from the same institution in 2006-2007.

Apart from their academic degrees, Clarissa S. has also obtained several certifications to enhance their professional skills. In 2011, they became a National Certified Phlebotomy Technician through the National Center for Competency Testing. Clarissa also holds a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education, which was obtained in January 2023. Most recently, in August 2023, they completed the HSI Instructor certification from HSI.
