Sr. Donor Care Manager - Mobile Collections at Vitalant

Melanie Sexton's work experience begins in 1997 as a Veterinary Test Technician at Lone Star Park. Melanie then joined Carter BloodCare in 2000, starting as a Phlebotomist on the Mobile Apheresis Team and later progressing to roles such as Education Coordinator and Operations Coordinator. In 2015, they became an Instructor at Collin County Community College before joining Vitalant in 2017 as a Sr. Donor Care Manager, overseeing Mobile Collections operations in Arizona and Las Vegas. Throughout their career, Melanie has prioritized customer service, compliance, and competence in their roles.

Melanie Sexton's education history includes attending Adams State University in 1987 and graduating from Sanger High School in 1987. Before that, they studied basic studies at Collinsville High School from 1984 to 1985.

In terms of certifications, Melanie obtained a Nevada Lab Assistant certification from the State of Nevada in September 2022. Melanie also received certifications such as "Southwest Division ~ Coach of the 4th Quarter" and "Southwest Division ~ Coach of the Year" from Vitalant in January 2022. In April 2021, they obtained a certification in "Establishing Essential Leadership Behaviors" from AMA. Additionally, they acquired various certifications and attended training sessions relating to medical techniques and procedures, such as phlebotomy and CPR/AED instruction. Melanie also earned an "American Society of Quality - Senior Member" certification in March 2006.
