Candace Judson, MSN, RN, PHN has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Candace began their career as a Health Education Specialist II at the Butte County Public Health Department, where they were responsible for planning and executing outreach HIV testing and family planning clinics. Candace also performed risk assessments, counseling, and developed educational interventions.

Candace then joined BloodSource as an RN Supervisor, overseeing daily operations and ensuring compliance with regulations and donor safety. Candace later transitioned to the role of Director of Learning, where they oversaw training and competency needs for over 500 employees. Their responsibilities included designing, implementing, and evaluating programs to facilitate learning.

In 2009, Candace was promoted to Director of Operations at BloodSource, where they led a team responsible for blood collection and therapeutic operations. Candace provided leadership support to an operations management team and oversaw approximately 150 highly trained RN and Blood Donor Phlebotomists.

In 2016, Candace joined Vitalant as the Senior Director of Donor Care. In this position, they provided strategic direction to a leadership team overseeing a highly-trained team of RN and Donor Care Phlebotomists. Candace played a key role on the senior management team following a merger of operations with BloodSource and other blood centers.

Throughout their career, Candace has demonstrated strong leadership and management skills, playing instrumental roles in the success of various healthcare organizations.

Candace Judson, MSN, RN, PHN, obtained a Master's degree in Nursing from Samuel Merritt University, graduating in 1998. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Community Health Education from California State University, Chico, completing their studies in 1995. Candace also holds various certifications, including being a Registered Nurse certified by the Board of Registered Nursing, CA, in April 1998. Candace has also completed a poetry workshop called "Sharpened Visions" through Coursera, which they obtained in December 2022. Furthermore, Candace has certifications in Collaborative Team Skills & I-Skills Zone from Interpersonal Communication Programs, Inc, as well as Leadership & Customer Service Training Programs.
