Lauren Sheppard has a diverse work background, with experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Lauren began their professional journey as an Intern at the U.S. House of Representatives in 2012, where they gained valuable political and legislative exposure. In 2013, they interned at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, allowing their to gain experience in a healthcare setting. Lauren then transitioned to working as a Device Technician at Austin Heart in 2015, where they honed their technical skills.
In 2017, Lauren joined Abbott as a Technical Service Specialist, providing technical support and troubleshooting for medical devices. During their time at Abbott, they excelled in their role and was subsequently promoted to the position of Senior Clinical Specialist in December 2019. In this role, they played a crucial role in ensuring the successful implementation and utilization of clinical products.
Currently, Lauren is working at VitalConnect as a Key Account Manager, a position they began in January 2022. In this role, they use their expertise and industry knowledge to foster long-term relationships with key clients, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty.

Lauren Sheppard obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Promotion and Behavior from The University of Georgia, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. Following that, they attended the Arrhythmia Technologies Institute in 2014 and 2015, focusing on Cardiac Devices. In addition to their education, they also obtained a certification as a Certified Cardiac Device Specialist from the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners in September 2017.
