David Schwartz

David Schwartz is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in community engagement, social enterprise, and nonprofit leadership. Currently serving as the Manager of Community Engagement and Marketing Manager at VitalTalk since March 2020, Schwartz focuses on enhancing communication training for clinicians serving seriously ill patients. As the Founder and CEO of We Are Lions, a social enterprise established in September 2009, Schwartz champions eco-friendly products created by entrepreneurs with disabilities. In addition, Schwartz has been the President of Global Canvas since March 2015, driving initiatives that provide opportunities for underserved communities through art and creative business solutions. Previous roles include a consultant position at David Harris, Inc., where a focus on strategic growth through web development and marketing was key, and serving as the Chief Composting Officer at LWood Composting Company. Education includes a degree in Psychology and Business Administration and Management from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and studies at the University of Cape Town.
