Wendy Anderson

Distinguished Faculty at VitalTalk

Wendy Anderson is a highly experienced professional in the field of palliative care, currently serving as Chief of Palliative Care at Alameda Health System since September 2021. At the University of California, San Francisco, Wendy has held various roles since August 2007, including Volunteer Clinical Professor and Palliative Care Physician, while also leading the Interprofessional Continuing Education in Palliative Care program. As Distinguished Faculty and Director of the San Francisco Bay Area VitalTalk Hub since April 2017, Wendy has focused on training and community engagement in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Wendy's previous role as Principal Investigator of the IMPACT-ICU Project from March 2011 to October 2022 involved enhancing palliative care integration within ICU settings. Educationally, Wendy holds a Master of Science in Hospice and Palliative Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh, a Doctor of Medicine from UC San Diego, and a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Reed College.
