Jorgen Vestjens has extensive work experience in the food and catering industry. Jorgen began their career in 2002 as a PE Manager at Gate Gourmet International, where they consulted and coached plant management to improve operational and financial performance. Jorgen then served as the General Manager in Gothenburg for Gate Gourmet Sweden from 2003 to 2004. From 2004 to 2008, they worked as the General Manager for Gate Gourmet Amsterdam BV, where they were responsible for financial, commercial, and operational performance.
In 2008, Jorgen joined Sorbon Campus Hospitality as a Business Improvement Manager before transitioning to the role of Operations Director in 2009. Jorgen continued their career at VITAM Catering from 2010 to 2011, serving as the Operations Director and overseeing the operational business of all catering services.
From 2011 to 2012, Jorgen worked as the General Manager at Nedflex, where they were responsible for merging three individual companies into one organization and improving business efficiency.
Jorgen then returned to Sorbon Campus Hospitality/Vitam in 2012 as the Director of Operations before assuming the role of Director of Business Catering in 2017. As the Director of Business Catering, they were responsible for the operational and financial performance of all business catering locations in the Netherlands, as well as the commercial performance related to the business unit.
In 2020, Jorgen Vestjens became the Chief Operating Officer at Vitam, where they are currently responsible for overseeing the company's operations.
Jorgen Vestjens started their education journey in 1989 at Hogeschool Diedenoort Wageningen, where they studied facility management until 1994. Later, in 1995, they enrolled at De Haagse Hogeschool / The Hague University of Applied Sciences, where they pursued a degree in Business Economics until 1996.
