Dr. Ashutosh Mishra

Dr. Ashutosh Mishra has extensive work experience in the field of health and program management. Dr. Ashutosh is currently serving as the Senior Regional Technical Director, Asia at Vitamin Angels since January 2021. Prior to this, they held various roles at RTI International, including Principal in Health from March 2017 to December 2020 and Chief-of-Party from September 2014 to December 2019. Dr. Ashutosh also worked as a Manager in Health at the Clinton Health Access Initiative, Inc. from February 2013 to September 2014. During their tenure at EngenderHealth, they served as a Senior Program Officer from October 2010 to February 2013 and as a Program Officer from December 2009 to October 2010. Dr. Ashutosh also worked as an Assam State Project Coordinator at AIDS Healthcare Foundation from September 2006 to September 2008 and as a Public Health Officer at JL Rohatgi Hospital from April 2003 to April 2005.

Dr. Ashutosh Mishra has an extensive educational background in the field of healthcare. Dr. Ashutosh obtained their MBBS degree from Manipal Academy of Higher Education in 2003, specializing in medicine. Following that, they pursued a Master's in Public Health (MPH) from The University of Sheffield in 2006, focusing on Global Health. In 2009, they completed a Master of Science (MS) in Epidemiology from Columbia University.

Dr. Mishra continued to expand their expertise by completing various certifications throughout their career. In 2008, they obtained a certification in Basic and Advanced Data Analysis using SPSS from Sambodhi Research & Management Institute. This was followed by a certification in Comprehensive Disaster Risk Management Framework from the World Bank Group in 2008. In 2010, they obtained a certification in FP Legislative and Policy Requirements from USAID.

In 2013, Dr. Mishra acquired a certification in Evaluating Social Programs from the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL). Dr. Ashutosh also completed a certification in Data Management, Analysis, and Interpretation in Quantitative Health Research from the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) in the same year.

Dr. Mishra further enhanced their skill set through certifications such as Leadership Strategies for Emerging Healthcare Executives from Harvard University in 2016. In 2021, they obtained multiple certifications including A Guide to Healthcare Innovation: Principles and Practice from Imperial College London, Health Financing for Universal Health Coverage from the World Health Organization, Maternal micronutrient supplementation: What does it take to improve adherence? from Nutrition International, Finance for Non-Finance Professionals from Rice University, and Programming for Infant and Young Child Feeding Course (UNICEF and Cornell University) from Cornell University.
