Ginny Kwong

Ginny Kwong, MD FAAFP, currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer at Excellence Health since August 2023 and is also a Team Physician at VITAS Healthcare since August 2020. Kwong has an extensive background in family medicine and healthcare leadership, having held positions such as Vice President and Chief Medical Information Officer and Chief of the Department of Family Medicine at Halifax Health from October 2008 to August 2020. Prior to that, Kwong worked as a Physician with Halifax Emergency Physicians from June 2004 to October 2008, providing patient care in both the Emergency Room and as a hospitalist. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine, where studies were completed in 2001, and a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Washington University in St. Louis, earned in 1997. Additionally, Kwong was the Chief Resident in the Family Medicine Residency Program at Halifax Health from 2001 to 2004.
