Jigar Joshi

Jigar Joshi has over a decade of experience in the field of hospice and palliative care. Jigar has served as a Medical Director at VITAS Healthcare since 2018, providing medical direction for the care and treatment of patients and their families. Prior to that, they worked as an Associate Medical Director at Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care from 2015 to 2018. Jigar also has experience as a Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellow at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2014 to 2015 and as a Resident at Sinai Health System from 2011 to 2014. Additionally, they have worked in various short-term observer roles at institutions such as MD Anderson Cancer Center, American Health Network, and the University of Chicago Medical Center, where they gained insight into different areas of medicine. Jigar's early experience includes serving as a Research Fellow and Palliative Physician at the Palliative Care Unit, Tata Memorial Hospital, and as a Palliative Care Physician at Bhaktivedanta Hospital. Throughout their career, Jigar has focused on providing compassionate care for patients with terminal illnesses and improving the quality of palliative care.

Jigar Joshi has a degree in Medicine and Surgery (M.B.,B.S.) from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, which they completed from 2001 to 2007. Prior to that, they completed their high school education in Science and Mathematics (SSC) from Smt. J B Khot High School, Borivali - E, from 1992 to 1999.
