Tim Mayer

Tim Mayer is an experienced public safety professional currently serving as the Public Safety Liaison at Vitas Healthcare, where responsibilities include educating first responders on hospice benefits, palliative versus curative care, and various safety topics. Tim has been a Captain at the North Haven Fire Department since 2002, overseeing training and administration for a 35-member firehouse. Additionally, Tim is a Connecticut Certified and NPQS Pro Board Accredited fire instructor, leading Firefighter 1 and 2 programs since 2006. Tim is also a member of the EMS Communications Group at the National Public Safety Telecommunications Council, focusing on improving EMS communications technology. Tim's leadership experience includes serving as President of the West Ridge Volunteer Fire Association and Exalted Ruler of the Hamden Elks. Tim has held various roles in sales, marketing, and business development prior to his extensive public safety career, with education from SUNY Brockport.
