John Schlaefer has extensive experience in the agricultural trading sector, currently serving as a Trader on the Global Soybeans Desk at Viterra since June 2014. Previously, John held positions as Grains and Oilseeds Trader at Viterra, focusing on the USA soy complex, corn, canola, canola meal, and sorghum. Earlier roles included Organic Grain Merchandiser and Grain Merchandiser at AgMotion Specialty Grains, specializing in corn and soybeans. John's academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Mandarin Chinese from Carleton College, as well as further training in international agriculture and maritime trade laws through the Gafta Distance Learning Programme.
