Makan Houston

Makan Houston has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Makan currently holds the position of Head of Tech at Vitl, where they have been working since February 2020. Prior to this role, Makan served as a Solutions Architect & Lead iOS App Developer at Vitl from October 2018 until February 2020. Makan also worked as a Lead iOS App Developer at the same company from July 2017 to October 2018.

Before joining Vitl, Makan founded Bucky Ltd in March 2015, where they developed and created mobile applications. Makan also worked as a Senior Creative Developer at Appnovation Technologies from October 2015 to June 2017.

Furthermore, Makan has experience working with NetPlayTV as a UI / UX Lead from December 2013 to April 2015, and as a UI Developer from July 2013 to December 2013. Makan also worked at CSC, where they held several roles including Wintel Support Engineer from February 2013 to July 2013, EMEA Regional Portfolio Executive Lead Support from April 2012 to February 2013, and Mobility Infrastructure Engineer from October 2011 to April 2012.

Makan began their career as an Online Content Administrator at Ultralase from August 2009 to September 2009, and earlier on, they completed a student placement at BMW (UK) Manufacturing Ltd from August 2008 to August 2009.

Makan Houston pursued a Masters of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Leeds, starting in 2006 and completing in 2011.
